Took a few days to get this posted but on 4.13 I spent the day with some of the #501stLegion #OhioGarrison at Rathacon in Athens OH. Wore full #TIEpilot gear for 7 hours (I'm on the left) #StarWars

Got something appropriate to carry around my soft armor accessories for my #TIEPilot kit #StarWars #Cosplay #DarthVader #501stLegion

Oh hey, so I got my TIE Reserve kit approved just moments ago as well - not super difficult as it's 98% the same kit as my full TIE Pilot, but still good to have backup options if my helmet meets with any unforeseen disasters. I'm thinking about adding a bridge crew submission as well, although with the Reserve approval I'm not sure there's much point as they're nearly identical.

When I had originally put together my #Stormtrooper and #TIEPilot gear she tells me "You look more like a clone trooper without the helmet on, should've done that first" and once again she's right on target

The news just came in - I've been accepted into the #501stLegion Arch City Squadron as a full-blown original trilogy #TIEPilot! TI-41969 is off the ground...it'll be nice to finally put those digits front and center!

Oh, so the other reason I applied to the #501stLegion as a #TIEPilot? Truthfully I AM a little short to be a #stormtrooper - just under 5'7". Stormtroopers on average are between 5'10 and 6'2", and while there's no height requirement for membership, I don't think my current TK armor will ever really fit as well as it might. On the other hand, I imagine with TIE pilots, the shorter the better to fit into those tiny, cramped cockpits #StarWars #Cosplay

And ANOTHER thing...what is it about these #TIEPilot air hoses? I keep seeing pics online with really flexible ones but every set I buy is stiffer than a Bantha's backside. I realize the OT hoses were pretty stiff but they're not really practical when you need to turn your head #StarWars #cosplay
