A few days later they would apologize to me and several others by name.

A year later and they’re telling the courts they did nothing wrong.

This is the exact same treatment the SBC gave racism.

Make a report.

Apologize.

Act like that's enough.

If they would do this to Black folks in response to the SBC's role in slavery and racism, of course this is what they'll do for clergy abuse and systemic abuse.

When SBC officials say things like "we have committed to walk with survivors of sexual abuse," I feel only dismay at the chasm between words & deeds. Because I've seen nothing resembling commitment & no "walking." Only talking. Then I recall the words of @BozT. ⬇️ #ThisistheSBC
