I see there are protests about resumption of #GugaHunt on remote Scottish island of #SulaSgeir - quoting https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c3w42vn0jl3o :
“Defenders of the tradition say it is part of island heritage and if carried out correctly is no more cruel than other activities such as grouse shooting.”
Banning grouse hunting would dramatically alter private land ownership in Scotland, with the potential to boost wildlife massively. As long as it doesn’t just become more monoculture forestry…?
