    TIL #Smarties in #Canada are #candy coated chocolates like #MMs. In the US, Smarties are the chalky sweet & sour candies.

    #TIL that the #Avec pastille sweets by #Fazer (also known as French pastilles in #Finland, or #ranskanpastillit) predate #Smarties and #MandMs by several years. I personally think they are also superior to both (though I grew up on Smarties)!

    FWIW Smarties predate M&Ms.

    Edited to say: they are also #vegan.
