Likely to be a slower start as there is STUFF going on, but thought another pet based collaborative project might give us an occasional bright spot.

Duffy the Westie is, according to @KarenDorman, "kind of a grumpy old man these days"

I am not 100% sure he approves of my choice of hat - possibly a little young and flamboyant - but it does coordinate very well with his blanket.

It is the end of summer (in my part of the world at least*).

I started the summer with the Silly Summer Hatting project, the summary of which is shown below (& you can still see the full size images on the hashtag).

Planning an hour or two later of not doing much at all, so if you missed out, and would like to sneak your pet in at the last moment drop a reply to this thread.

*and working with meteorological rather than astronomical autumn, obvs.

Spent a while watching the spider monkeys, in particular this and another adult with a wee baby one. They were adorable, and funny, and I didn't get any great pics because I was too busy enjoying their escapades. Thought I'd cheer this one up with a sparkly tiara. Didn't work.

Side note on the whole Silly Summer Hatting thing.

We went on a trip to the zoo last week, and as I watched a fantastic orangutan grabbed a sack and made themselves a Silly Summer Hat.

What a star 🤩

There's always a decision with bunnies about what to do with the ears; they are not the easiest for appropriate hatting. Two different techniques tried here. The tall & roomy hat for Brambles, the let-the-ears-fly-free approach for Benny. I think they both have their place @BunnyMama

There was a suggestion of trading a treat for a hat, but I felt a bit guilty about taking their treat away so they just won a hat instead @kerrytani
