This is the product I’m using. Sold on Amazon. Any brand will do but make sure it’s 40 Vol., 12%. Just put plenty of it, spread and wrap, and leave it under direct sun light (not behind a window as that blocks UVs required for the process to work). Rotate every 30m. Wrapper keeps the cream from drying up.
(Sorry for the previous photo including the wrapper, I can’t take it while unwrapped since by gloves were full of peroxide and no idea what that does to the iPhone outer layers)

I’m completely blown away by how well this is going. I have two of these mice. One, I showed you a few days ago. The other is this. It had a label stuck to it, its location clearly visible before.
It’s time to move to the south balcony, and since it’s the first time I’m doing this, I unwrapped the parts to take a look at them and adjust the wrapper foil.
This is the same part, after just one morning. Only two side markings visible that are likely washable. Absolutely amazing!

The weather is still partially cloudy so sunlight occasionally goes away, and my apartment has limited exposure (around lunch time no direct light hits the balconies as the sun is aligned with the side of the building, and I have to move it from north to south balcony). Additionally it all goes away just past 5PM as it gets shaded by a taller building.
And I may not have used enough of the magic peroxide cream.

Finally got one again!!! Going to see if I can "retrobright" the front face tomorrow (we're having sunshine and high of 87°F(30.6°C) tomorrow).
Allegedly just setting it in the sun will help, right?

I wonder should it be considered a serious breach of honesty in the #retrocomputing community to fail to report previous retrobrighting attempts, when selling on a piece of equipment. Buyers shouldn't have to ask.
I'd certainly want to know. For me, it could be make or break for the sale.

Pero mínimo unos días. También es importante no mezclar mil mierdas y disponer de sol. Justo yo he tardado más porque no he tenido buenos días de sol estos días. He tenido calima en Madrid.
La calima no era tan frecuente hace años me temo. Ahora es normal.

Creo que ya lo voy a dejar así. Lo he montado y con este color ya me vale.
No es 100% como seguramente era originalmente pero se le ha quitado.el amarilleo al 90% por lo menos (o más).

El agua oxigenada tradicional no es muy efectiva con la parte más amarilla del monitor.
Digamos que tras más de 24 horas el resultado no es para nada el esperado. Algo se ha quitado pero no me sirve.
He optado por agua oxigenada de peluquería (peróxido de hidrógeno al 40% concretamente). He ido a una tienda de productos de peluquería porque esto en una peluquería te sale seguro que más caro si es que te lo venden.
Veamos que tal ahora al sol.

He terminado estos días con la limpieza de algunas de las piezas del monitor que menos amarilleaban.
Y acabo de sumergir en agua oxigenada la pieza más amarilleada. La dejaré unos días envuelta con un film para ver si le da un poco el sol.
Estos días por desgracia hemos tenido nublado y calima.
Seguiré subiendo fotos en cuanto vea algo de progreso.
