Charles Weissmann just passed away at 94, leaving behind a legacy in modern #molecularbiology - in particular pivotal work on interferon and prions. Good news! I just learnt that the director of the @cnrs National Institute for Earth Sciences (INSU) in France sent a letter to all lab directors in which he set an annual greenhouse gas reduction target of -6%. That’s a clear message and trajectory!
