The story of Xia Qiao and Shen Qiao feels so tragic...
Xia Qiao not even realizing he's a puppet (I'm pretty sure) and learning about it like this... I wonder what will be the aftermath of this revelation, both for him and for the story & his relationship with the other characters.
And Shen Qiao literally giving his life away to bring Xia Qiao back to life..... grandpa no 😭

This whole scene felt so intense, I feel bad for everybody involved :blobFlee:

And we finally have confirmation that the creepy little "boy" is Xia Qiao !

... and we also have confirmation that this is Shen Qiao's cage! I didn't realize that hadn't been explicit from the beginning 😅

So I have to admit, I have a bit of mixed feelings about those reveals hmm...

I'm quite proud of having guessed that the puppet was Xia Qiao, clearly that wasn't as obvious for some people (eg. the translator). I really think that writing down toots after every chapter helps me think about the story more, and I might have missed the clues if I had just binge read the story without pausing much.

But the reveal about this being Shen Qiao's cage... well... let's just say the biggest plot twist for me was that this was a plot twist 😅
Because they entered this cage while carrying Shen Qiao's ashes, it felt obvious that it was his cage so I never questioned it.
Only reading this last chapter did I pay attention to see if Shen Qiao was ever mentioned but no, it was only "the old man".
It makes me wonder how the cages will be entered later (eg. can you enter them randomly or is it always during a funeral kinda thing), because maybe this was just a coincidence hence the surprise from the characters?
