Maybe someone will design an all electric pre-fab off-grid #passivehaus kit-home. A dwelling that can be trucked out to a prepared slab to be assembled and commissioned in place, and that within the target climate zone can be expected to collect and store all the energy and water its inhabitants will need. Like a little independent Mars base. Except on Earth where it's really easy.

This is big. The Scottish government has announced that all new build housing will conform to passivehaus standard.
