Because the argument fits this space. Your own website (like your own server) is one of the last corners of the web that we truly control. Walled gardens belong to others. Anyone who leaves everything to the search engines is giving up their last sovereign platform.

The #neoscon is pretty close, and we still have tickets left for the Neos 9.x workshop. With the new content repository, we have definitely a topic that needs new knowledge for the developers, and if you want to work with #neosCMS in the future, you should give it a try and learn from two awesome guys how to use the new event-sourced CR. https://neoscon.io/all-you-need-to-know/pre-con-workshop.html

Upgraded a customer project to #neoscms 9.1, and the editing #UX is probably getting the biggest update since the move from Aloha to #CKEditor.

First draft of the Object-Property Graph Mapper (#OPGM) for #neoscms

Say goodbye to YAML config and hello to type-safe property access on content repository nodes.

Part 1: node type declaration in PHP using attributes for UI configuration and traits for mixins

Let' see how the new and performance improved #NeosCMS version 9.0.7 will fare in a multi-editor setting running on a #RaspberryPi. And of course already using the current alpha of the #ComponentEngine for rendering.

Having self-rendering presentational HTML components that can be instantiated everywhere and just rendered without booting a rendering engine from dependency hell feels so relieving... and close to what #PHP was supposed to do in the first place - concatenating HTML strings.
Standalone usage is supported as well as full #NeosCMS integration.

OK, always good to take a look into the calendar before buying a new ticket. Short before I clicked the checkout button, I had the idea to check the calendar. Luckily, before the purchase, as it turns out, I am on Denmark vacations when the #neoscms #barcamp is taking place.

So no Barcamp for me this year :/

I started building a simple #NeosCMS backend module that shows relevant information about the current DEV system. The data you see on the screen is dummy data. I'm still not *quite* sure which information I want to display. What you see in the screenshot was the first idea for relevant information I had.

I also still need something useful for the right side of the screen. 🙂

And in terms of "design" i'm also still undecided 😬

Today was the Neos Contribution Day right after #NeosCon in Karlsruhe. The idea is that members of the @team Neos Team help interested people getting started with contributing to #NeosCMS.

Everybody was quite busy today and I really enjoyed the post-conference vibe before now heading home.

Thanks to everyone who helps making Neos even better, you rock!

Got a new mechanical keyboard yesterday, so I had to create my own #NeosCMS keycap with Norman Nodely.

Due to the size of the googly eyes its very easy to blindly find the escape key 👍

About 9 years ago we had the first ideas for creating an event sourced content repository. It's certainly the most complex project we ever started in the Neos team.

And now it's finally done: during the Neos sprint in Vienna we released Neos 9.0!

So haben wir das jetzt mit Flownative Beach ganz schön lange gehandhabt aber es hilft ja nichts, wir müssen ja auch mal darüber schreiben, was es alles so Neues gibt …

Also: Man kann jetzt mit wenigen Klicks Daten einer Beach Instanz in eine andere synchronisieren – über Backups.

Endlich den Trip zum #NeosCMS core sprint in Wien vom 31.3. - 5.4. gebucht. Mit rund 1000€ Reise+Hotel etwa doppelt so teuer wie die letzten Male als ich dort war zum Sprint. Schon verrückt und dabei ist nicht mal irgendwelches Essen berücksichtigt.
Verstehe schon, warum es immer schwieriger ist, Leute und Firmen zu solchen Treffen zu motivieren.
Aber nur Remote funktioniert auf Dauer auch nicht.
