Rosebay Willowherb (Chamaenerion angustifolium) is apparently known as fireweed in the US, because of its tendency to colonise burnt areas after fires.
Across the valley, on the moorland near #Meltham, a fire has been burning since Monday evening, creeping across the hills. I wonder if there will be a mass of Rosebay Willowherb there next year, sigh.
