It's discouraging emailing and calling reps but you must keep doing it. We can at least keep them scared in the back of their mind knowing there's people who oppose them. They're trying to control and brainwash us with propaganda (in this case I'm thinking of censorship and how the government is starting to roll out age verification
I've been emailing occasionally every few months using a script and have only called once for a year. I will be honest! I always get the same email back that's bullshit fascist propaganda "it's to protect kids from the dirty queers I mean online predators 😁" basically. And obviously you can't respond back that'd mean they have to listen to reason!
But you can't just give up. Honestly I'm kinda tired of the whole give up mentality. MY PEOPLE WERE SLAVES AND CHAINED AND NOW WE ARE FREE BECAUSE WEEEEEEEE HAVE ALWAYS FOUGHT ON THE FRONT. I'm really really tired of how white people act surprised when things affect them and they shut down UNDER 0 PRESSURE compared to other marginalized poeples but holding petty grudges isn't gonna work. We all have to work together!

I'm very grateful to the Aethy mods fr, I wish I could keep a stable job otherwise I'd be a monthly donator. But regardless I'm glad this place is running despite shortages being more common. This is the only place I truly feel myself. Even in other places the way I express my identity in healthy ways (even "professional" therapists say this) is seen as taboo, but here you can embrace yourself and find others who support you too! In a world full of purists, spaces like these are sacred. And I'm really proud that I can be apart of this userbase
