Adolph Saphir, Jewish Presbyterian missionary, on “Give us this day our daily bread” in the Lord’s Prayer. Some may ask how much and when: Saphir says all that you have is is to be used to enrich others.
I’ve seen a response where one lives in luxury, and says, “that lamp over there is GOD’S!” Probably not the attitude that Saphir would recommend.
How can you give all?
