    This is what I made my second and third pipe from. It might not be the ideal wood, but I like the natural rugged look.
    Its probably common beech again.

    My first pipe made from leftovers...

    It works but is mostly meant as a learning experience.

    - A piece of firewood, probably beech
    - mouthpiece of a broken cheap corn cob pipe
    - Finish: bees wax from a candle
