For #BlackHistoryMonth, I'm introducing African deities in my daily god toots. Papa #Legba, a god or lwa often represented as a phallus or as a horned man with a prominent phallus, is the youngest son of #Mawu. It is only through contact with Legba that it becomes possible to contact the other gods, for he is the guardian at the door of the spirits. #PapaLegba originated in the historic West African kingdom of #Dahomey in present-day #Benin.
