@gyptazy That’s a good idea. Currently I’m using either tools like #Uyuni and #Katello to mirror the packages or just trigger updates using SSH. Having a dedicated API call would make it more streamlined.

Katello - это модульная часть системы Foreman, управляющая сторонними или локальными репозиториями pip, rpm, deb пакетов, podman, docker образов. Katello предоставляет возможность использовать абстракцию Lifecycle Environment: назначать целевым хостам доступность определенных состояний репозиториев (фиксированные версии пакетов или теги контейнеров).

@carlwgeorge @jbouter This is what I do at $DAYJOB, where I'm implementing #CentOS #Stream for anything that won't use #RHEL or doesn't have annoying validation requirements on RHEL minor versions. Which means everything for now until we actually make the RHEL purchase 😅 Waiting on the final sign off from the higher ups on that...

Using tools like #Foreman+#Katello (upstream of #Satellite) to handle system and content lifecycles makes life stupid simple in ensuring matching environments.

AND WE CAN MAKE SUBSCRIPTION ALLOCATIONS NOW

For those that don't know what that means, it allows you to import your subscriptions directly into Foreman+Katello (Red Hat Satellite) rather than having to configure your own local mirror to do so.
