Casiopea – Mint Jams (1982, Japan)
Continuing our journey through the epic Fedi-sourced catalogue of must-hear albums, our next spotlight is on number 895 on The List, submitted by BrowniePoints. Originally founded as a high school funk rock group, this live album captures the Japanese jazz fusion band at their heyday. Over their 50 years of existence, Casiopea has seen many lineup changes and periods/renamings, and has released dozens of albums including their most recent studio LP, True Blue (2025). If you're in Japan or Los Angeles, you can catch them live this August/September! Otherwise, have a taste of this album, a delightful addition to any sonic charcuterie board.
