With some help from @rosenclosed (who did all the work) we now have an immich.app server running in our house net. It's pretty awesome. Since the old laptop I purchased to act as the host server isn't very strong, we bolstered the facial detection by spinning up a docker on my desktop during the bulk import. Now everything is running fairly smoothly on the laptop.

Ich gehe davon aus, dass bei aktivierter Sicherung in der Immich App der komplette Bilderordner auf den Server geladen wird. Oder kann ich genau spezifizieren, dass z.B. nur ein bestimmter Unterordner gesichert wird?
Ich möchte eigentlich nur meinen Lightroom Export Ordner sichern, weil das genau die Fotos sind, die in Immich landen.

Sono ormai due mesi che, grazie a #yunohost sono entrato nel magico mondo del self hosting. Ho sostituito Google drive con #nextcloud e Google Foto con #immichapp (principalmente perché l'app di foto di nextcloud fa cacare). Per la musica non ce la faccio a mollare #deezer, ma sto comunque trasferendo la mia libreria fisica (cd e vinili) su #Jellyfin. In tutto ciò sto spostando anche mia moglie e i suoceri, un po' per volta... E sapete? Mi sento... potente. A volte basta veramente poco.

Ich sortiere seit 29 Jahren nach: Jahr - Ereignis - eventuelle Unterordner nach Monaten. Immich sortiert nach Datum. Da finde ich mich in meinen gut 25k an Bildmaterial nie mehr zurecht...

Bevor du aber irgrndwas machst, klär mal ab, wohin die Reise überhaupt gehen soll.
