Was finishing up with making dinner and was holding a pot of boiling water with pasta in, when I called for the fam to come in and wash hands etc. Kid came past me and stupid me leant back to give him space, and I spilt boiling water straight onto my stomach.
Managed to safely put the pot down, and get my top off in seconds, and was applying a cold water soaked tea-towel straight away, but the old tum-tum got a bit of a scalding. Lost a layer of skin and it stings like hell, but luckily nothing too serious.
On a positive note at least the kids got a lesson in why mum and dad always say tell them not to mess about in the kitchen.
I mean I wasn't even fucking around, but I still found out!
