I'm off to work to haul stage decorations, but my blog finally speaks 25 languages. DIY-ish. Sort of. Only menu items and toot like notes work for now. But yay.

Spent half a day polishing complex #regexps in #vim . And they work too, but perl has a little different standard, so I'm basically stuck in grep -p punching a file until it works. As they say in #taoup , sometimes you just have to brute force prototype. #unix #bashcore #hobbylinguist #hobbytranslator

You start company (medium) in the US, your have single language market of 300+ million. So you put up a web and are in the game. In EU, it's 450+mil, 300 mil economically strong too, but divided by 20+ separate languages, political cultures, economic, environmental and social histories and realities. And I'd like to rig a queer press agency-ish and essay blog that could tap into that. Anyone into discussion? #eu #queer #translation #language #journalism #hobbytranslator #programming #blogging
