first two came out pretty well, third one was quite difficult to shoot because it was already getting dark. i don’t have an excuse for the last one being overblown, but: it has some lain vibes

i shot a lot more than this but the problem of making pictures of a park is that they’re not very high in contrast, so they end up being a blob you can barely make out… those are a tad better

i skated around Greenwich (mostly in the park) for a few hours, then went for a train back… And the station had a book exchange shelf!

okay, probably last #gbcam pic for today. This is at Karlsruhe HfG. It’s nighttime now, so there’s barely any light in the scene, outside of very few lamps (and some illumination of the underground garage).
I’m mighty impressed with how good this sensor is doing. Remember: this is a 1998 camera, effectively designed around being cheap and easy to interop with the GB. It has some very basic automatic gain control, but it’s doing a REMARKABLE job here.
A comparison shot is attached as a second pic; IMHO if you took a phone camera from just 10 years ago and tried the same place, it would look much worse (even if squashed into 2bpp, and with rgb noise removed).
… i am enjoying this thing way too much, aren’t I?
