Given that #AlboPM and his Govt has given in to Sports club (Mainly NRL and AFL) as well as free to air TV, we didn’t get much of a #Gambling reform. The govt response was slipped out as quietly as possible and made no waves. #Gambling #Advertising and #SportSupport are tightly paired. So what is the #Suns coach saying?
“So the question becomes, how can such a close-knit partnership between sporting codes and sports betting companies ever be untangled, without adequate government reform?”.
Let me translate “adequate government reform” for you: Govt funding to make up for gambling Industry funding that will be lost if further #GamblingReforms are made. Sports relying on govt han outs, is not the solution here. If sports wasn’t so a big *Business*, there would less of a problem here IMO (Exec & Staff remuneration for example).
