Black Byrd (1973) by Donald Byrd...such a brilliant mélange of soul, groove, and jazz, with Mr. Byrd's thrilling trumpet weaving golden solos over these tracks that make me dance around my home office...okay back to work...

Apocalypse (1974) by Mahavishnu Orchestra...after the first version of this band broke up, John McLaughlin rebuilt & expanded it, added the London Symphony Orchestra, and made this huge blissful orchestral jazz-rock LP worth way more than the $3.99 sticker price!

Today we have #JeffBeck, #TerryBozzio, and Tony Hymas on the #Arsenio Hall Show playing "Sling Shot" from the Guitar Shop LP.
Watching this now makes me want to add 17 tom toms to my #drum kit.
