Morty again. Mock tomato frog's colors change as they age. The first pic is they day I got her, Dec 2021, maybe six months old. The second is in May 2022, close to a year old. The third is in September 2023, so 2 years old. The last one is today, 5 and excited because it's snack time.

Took the best of my pics of Morty yesterday and made my own desktop wallpaper, thought some #frog loving peeps might appreciate it as well. She usually looks cranky and territorial, she still looks kind of stunned at yesterday's #terrarium upgrades. This is the biggest cave she's ever seen!

For #FrogFriday: I have frogs hanging out in and around my front yard pond, but I very rarely see them — just the arc as they jump from yard into the pond when I walk by.
But Chris has a great camera (vs my iPhone SE camera) and he captured some of my frogs. Yay!

*Wildlife garden update*
Frogs are now permanent residents of hour two mini ponds. Yesterday we also saw this very tiny frog (for reference, it was probably no bigger than 3 cm), which I try to capture on camera, but bear with the limits of my iPhone 12 mini.
We didn’t see tadpoles, so no idea where they came from, but it’s wonderful anyway.#ClimateDiary #Wildlife #WildlifeGarden #Frog #FrogsOfMastodon #Amphibians #Pond #MiniPond

It's time for #MarshMadness!
This picture was taken not in a marsh, but in the Roman ruins at Al-Bass in Sour (Tyre), Lebanon. The frog is, however, a marsh frog (Rana ridibunda), so I think it counts.
At the risk of injecting a political note into a celebration of all things marshy, Al-Bass is adjacent to a Palestinian refugee camp that has been repeatedly bombed or shelled by Israeli forces, most recently in 2024.

Went #walking on Saturday after an errand with my wife, who pointed out a tiny #frog!
I've never seen terrestrial #frogs before in the area, usually I just see the ones that poke their heads out of lakes and ponds to say hi. This dude, less than an inch long, was chilling on some #salal, about 3 feet in the air.
Also pictured, a little spider hanging out on a small flower by the trailhead.
