Freshly mown grass, sunshine and the heady scent of lime blossom can only mean one thing - less than two weeks to go to our summer dig on the site of Elsyng Tudor palace in the woods of Forty Hall!
Be sure to check out the new exhibition all about the palace, now open at the Dugdale Centre in Enfield Town and continued in the house at Forty Hall itself.
You can also come and find us in the woods on our open day - July 18th - and witness the rediscovery of the palace for yourself!

It's that time of year again!
The site's been cleared and we'll be back in Forty Hall's lime tree avenue this Sunday for another two week investigation into the inner gatehouse of Elsyng Palace.
Hoping to find out more about the interior of the building and perhaps relocate some structures last seen in 1965.
