No more meese since the swimmer in the morning.
Realized I haven’t shared any screenshots of Queen yet. This is from May 3rd:

Last morning. We just had our first swimmer. A bull.
Not so sneaky this time so we got to see the full swim.

It’s going to be over tomorrow, May 5th at 23:00.
Yes, they will quit early this year due to lack of moose and it makes me very sad.

There have been no meese for two days but suddenly we had a swimmer.
Out of nowhere. Of course!40

Yesterday we also had our first golden eagle. So cool! 🦅

Late last night we had a swimmer. It took forever before they decided to swim. There was almost no light left for the daytime cameras.

We had a fox yesterday!
We’ve had fox before but only at night. -
We do get to see some moose elsewhere as well of course.
Like this one who was looking curious. -
One more just crossed. Most meese this year just suddenly appear at the shore and start swimming.

We got a cow and a calf who just swam to an island in the river.
Lets see how this ends. 🍿 -
We’re not finished!
There were three more swimmers twenty minutes later.I think we also got our first loud swimmer.
Lots of “eugh, eueegh, euugh, eueeegh”. 😅30, 31 and 32

And half an hour later two more meese decided to go for it. This time visible from the main broadcast.
(The reason why the number says 20 is because at the people monitoring the show haven’t discovered the previous 2 + 6 swimmers in the extra broadcast yet.)

About 15 minutes later six(!) meese are crosding from the same spot in the Extra broadcast.

Lots of swimmers this morning. Many outside the main broadcast as well.
At 4:19 in the morning this one swam from Näset in the Extra broadcast.

Two more quickly crossed the river a bit later and they were barely caught on camera.

First meese caught by the main broadcast were these three.
Only one made it to the other side. The other two changed their minds and turned.10, 11 and now 12 swimmers in total.

It’s now daytime and somehow the production missed 5 meese swimming at lunch time.
(Maybe they were eating a sandwich or something?)So again the only cameras who caught them were the extra cameras. This image is from a rerun from the extra cameras.

On the island we see him running and then he disappears. The cameras have lost him.
But then, suddenly, he can be seen swimming. This time over the main river. He must have entered on the back of the island where the cameras can’t see him.
After a really speedy crossing he is over and Pelle is now our 70th moose.
We’ll always remember you! -
But once he is over he turns. And he swims back. Back to the island again.
This is his third crossing. What is going on? -
After a bit he starts swimming over Passagen, back to Entrén.
At this point we have named him Pelle, as in ”virrpelle”, a swedish word for someone who is confused and messes things up.
We think it’s over. He will leave without crossing the river.

On the island he runs around. Clearly flustered. He even stomps in the puddle where the frogs hang out and scares a bunch of small birds.

Then suddenly he burst over Näset to reach the island.
The cameras didn’t even have time to adjust. -
Lets talk a little bit about 70.
I justed posted quickly that he swam yesterday but it was a whole show.It all started with him being totally chill in Entrén.
