Regarding, "PS: NPIs aren't lockdowns."
I'm half convinced that Premier #Domicron and his predecessor #Gladys in #NSW #Australia deliberately made restrictions cruel and unusual, to make people hate them and beg for the "freedom" to "live with COVID".
The NSW government were wanting to ignore the problem and "live with the virus" right from the start.

NSW Premier Dominic Perrottet's leadership has been labelled as untenable following the revelation that he wore a Nazi uniform to his 21st birthday party. https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-01-12/dominic-perrottet-apologises-for-wearing-nazi-costume-to-21st/101849280
Mr Perrottet said he was "not aware" of any photo depicting him in the uniform, but you have to agree it's damning that we can easily imagine the smug, private school boy wearing the uniform.
