  1. Despite WB association with a long history of top animated brands like #BugsBunny, Tom and Jerry, Hanna Barbera, DC Comics, not to mention homebrewed #AdultSwim and other creations, ever since reality TV channel #Discovery honcho David Zaslav stormed #TNT , #WB , #HBO #CartoonNetwork nearly all new #animation content has been going extinct on his embarrassing near miss of a streaming platform portal known as MAX.

Like a villain out of a cartoon, Zaslav has chaotically crushed his own corporate #ContentCreators, pulled the plug on the standalone Boomerang animation #streaming service; offed the #ATX based Rooster Teeth web animation platform and even yanked classic Daffy & Bugs based #LooneyTunes content off the menus.

While animated and children's content still pull ad revenue despite precipitous drops, competitors like #YouTube, #Netflix & Disney+ can attract around 40%+ shares of kid viewership, the youth targeted programming on the dismal MAX app attracts far less than 15% of the tween audience, and even lower amongst the kinder and preschool demographics, also losing the adults in the room.

While Ted Turner once noted in a speech that “On the average evening, more adults are tuned to the Cartoon Network than are tuned to #CNN.” Not to worry about that anymore my friends!

“Discovery came in, and it went downhill fast,” says Robert Alvarez, a retired animator who worked on popular #Cartoon Network shows from the mid-’90s until the Zaslav takeover.
