The 6-yo Macbook Pro is back to life! After a couple of days the water spill has resolved itself and I can charge again. I'd have been so bummed to loose all my new stickers from #CellBio2022

So the penultimate day of #CellBio2022 was pretty full-on. Started with a terrific talk from Don Cleveland as the recipient of the E.B. Wilson Prize. He did a split talk between neurodegenerative disease therapies and chromothripsis in cancer. Then it was a melee of talks, posters and catching up with @binyam and @jorgeferreira in the hubbub of the main hall. I got a ton of new ideas and tips for our work.

Great talk by @[email protected] on the role of actin waves for mitochondria motility and mixing, now in interphase - I was so captivated by @[email protected] beautiful images of actin and mitochondria dancing together that I didn't snap a picture #CellBio2022

Great talks in the first session #CellBio2022. Mitochondria-ER contact site dynamics (lovely images and analysis) by Christopher Obaya. Valentina Štimac showed how polar chromosomes are slow to move to pole and how they flip to get aligned.
Both great examples of inferring new sub cellular behaviours simply by observing (albeit with very clever tech). #CellBiology
