#FediKleinAnzeigen I got a box of used PMTs. They were removed from a decommissioned detector.
I do not have matching bases.If you want to build something with one or more of them, give me a ping. I want to give them away for free[1] to people that make cool stuff.
Since I will be at #GPN and #EMFCamp we can do handover on those events. Or you come to #CCCAC to pick them up.
[1] If you can afford it and want to give some money, please donate that to our hackerspace.

The #repair of this day is the water cooling circuit of the laser-tube in #CCCAC which broke last weekend.
The fix was made with a 3D printed part (modeled in #FreeCAD) that fits over the broken barb.
Unfortunately the FDM print was not watertight even with 100% infill. So I had to put even more epoxy around the part. Not it does not look as nice, but It seems to work.
No drops after 30min of runtime. -
Finished off the evening at #CCCAC tonight by playing #Celeste via the #FEX x86_64 emulator, it ran super well and I got a couple strawberries 🍓
Definitely not the most ergonomic, but impressed it works! Most cozy Celeste setup.

Last month we replied to experiences of introverted peeps and non-members at our space. Our post was tone deaf and we'd like to apologize. Members do enjoy privileges. We missed the mark on what becoming one is about.
Improving our hackerspace is iterative and we often ponder changes. We want to be as accommodating as we can and we want your feedback on this. We're listening on Matrix (#cccac:ccc.ac), Fedi (you're looking at it, we'll reply individually), or mail ([email protected], can be slower)

What an adventure today. 🫠
I got home only to find out my door is one of those where you can't turn a key on the outside if you left one inserted on the other side. Called a locksmith, over the phone they tell me they only take cash. Ran to the ATM while they were on their way, made it back barely in time and very out of breath. They got my door open (& charged 3x what's on their website…), then I fed the cat and immediately ran back outside to catch my delayed bus to #CCCAC

@andrelf Wir hatten so eine Situation mit dem #CCCAC auch mal. Ich habe nachdem ein Telefonat nicht geholfen hat, direkt mal scharf zurück geschossen.
Indem wir eine Unterlassungserklärung verlangt haben. Und weils Freude macht auch noch eine DSGVO Auskunft verlangt.
Damit hatte sich das dann sehr schnell erledigt :)Ist viel Text, ich packe das mal als Screenshot hier dran, mit dem Inhalt auch im Alt-Text.

Am 18.10.2025 findet der Internationale #RepairDay statt. Diverse Repair-Initiativen in #Aachen öffnen an diesem Tag ihre Werkstatt für den normalen Reparaturbetrieb.
Danach treffen wir uns im #CCCAC für einen Vortragsabend zum Thema Reparatur. Eingeladen sind alle Menschen, die sich für das Thema Reparatur interessieren.
Die Vorträge starten ab 18 Uhr, der Club wird aber schon früher ab 16:00 Uhr geöffnet sein.

#FediKleinAnzeigen Wir haben im #CCCAC in #Aachen ein Koordinatenmesssystem übrig und würden das gerne abgeben.
Es bestand mal die Idee das an die CNC Fräse zu bauen, das ergibt für uns aber wenig Sinn. Es ist besser für manuelle Maschinen geeignet, es gibt nämlich keine digitalen Interfaces.
Eine der Achsen ist defekt, es ist also effektiv ein 2-Achsen System. Diese sind beide 600mm lang.**EDIT**: Hat schon ein neues Zuhause gefunden. Danke fürs boosten.

Made some pocket holes with the CNC mill at #cccac into 2020 extrusions.
With a vise and endstop I cut 16 of them in just a few minutes.

Zu finden gibt es die boards ab morgen am Tisch des #cccac
Das ist über dem Frühstück.Ich hätte gerne 10-15€ um die Kosten der Herstellung zu decken. Bezahlung _nur_ in bar.
