Weird since I’ve never lived anywhere with a big #carnival tradition. So I could have just spectated but that would be no fun. So I did the tourist thing and went to New Orleans

So... thanks to @SimonLandmine for the cracking pick - next Sunday, end-of-month means vortex, and a #carnivalvortex has been decreed, whether Rio, New Orleans, Notting Hill, Greece, Sydney, Trinidad and plenty more besides, or maybe it's the carnival in your head, eh? However you slice it, we'd like an example of the soundtrack. Dropbox will open up soon for picks, and @JimMcCauley will be mixin it up next Sunday, same time same place. @saucer I'm kinda interested in a #carnivalvortex as that means a lot of different sounds depending on which part of the world you're from, but some folks may not have a carnival to connect with (nb Dutch Carnaval plays some truly *awful* music, imho) #listeningclub

#listeningClub as it's the 60th aniversary of the Notting Hill Carnival next weekend, what about a carnivall themed vortex. Not NH carnival specifically, but something like #carnivalvortex
