Last night, #BrusselsNorth Sidewalk Maximilian Park and Simon Bolivar Ave, we wait as the Brussels Critical Mass passes, a stream of bikes and noise. Some carry Palestine flags; one of three men in front of me raises the Rif flag. A biker throws him the peace sign. I chat with the man holding the small flag. He points to Park Max, then to his phone: "Morocco, Ceuta."

Last night I joined my neighbour’s engagement party in the backyard of our house in #BrusselsNorth. Guinean pop – Djelykaba Bintou – #Zouk and #Afrobeat for a mainly female, brightly dressed crowd.
