  1. Over the past 10 days, I have grown to love the #CP #Intercidades train. This Faro–Lisbon train is almost my last Intercidades on this trip. The Corail and Sorefame coaches create a cosy atmosphere. The only annoying thing is buying seat reservations for my Interrail pass at the stations. #BlankSpots

  2. Impressions of the 🇵🇹 Linha do Algarve 😊
Electrification work on the line was finished in June 2025, so I am wondering how long the #CP class 0450 DMU will remain operational here. Taking pictures and travelling along the line proved very nerve-racking, as there were delays of more than 40 minutes every day. Pictures that were supposed to be taken before sunset had to be taken afterwards. #BlankSpots

  3. The second #CP #Intercidades train today is the Guarda–Lisbon service, which runs via the Linha de Beira Baixa. This is the first chance to take a photo of a complete Intercidades train. #BlankSpots

  4. Three #CP #Intercidades trains run daily on the Linha de Beira Alta, from Lisbon to Guarda and back. These comprise three modernised Sorefame carriages, one of which is a café and first-class carriage.
As with all Intercidades trains, it is mandatory to reserve a seat, which costs €5 for an #Interrail pass and can only be purchased at Portuguese ticket desks. #BlankSpots

  5. Another #Euskotren train takes me further towards west from Zarautz to Bilbao. It's a beautiful train journey on this Sunday morning. #BlankSpots

  6. There is disruption to the train journey at Aia-Orio due to maintenance work. Although the replacement buses are slower than the #Euskotren, the schedule remains unchanged. To avoid waiting times when travelling further, a creative solution has been found: Three westbound buses run further than the disrupted 5 km section with destinations Zarautz, Zumaia or Eibar (40 km). Eastbound buses terminate at Aia-Orio. Additional trains, running 15 mins later than usual, collect passengers. #BlankSpots

  7. The #Euskotren line gets more rural and picturesque west of Donostia / San Sebastián. #BlankSpots

  8. Leaving Hendaye station and entering Hendaia station. Yes, that's right — it's time for the #Euskotren! These metro-style trains tend to get crowded around Donostia. If you're a traveller with a backpack or even a large suitcase, you might feel out of place. As there are no passenger trains on the parallel Adif tracks, Euskotren, which runs every 30 minutes, is the better 'option'. #BlankSpots

  9. Of course, I have to board a 🇪🇪 #Elron train. On the westbound line from Tallinn, trains run every 20 minutes. They terminate alternately at Paldiski, Turba, or the junction station of Keila. Four trains a day are extended from Keila to the branch line to Kloogaranna. For a limited time only, the entire Elron fleet consists of Stadler Flirt trains. New Škoda trains will soon be in service to complement them. I am familiar with the Flirt trains from back home, but not with this width. #BlankSpots
