The reality is, he can't as the #TwentySecondAmendmentToTheUnitedStatesConstitution prohibits this. To be able to, it would need another amendment to the Constitution, which would require a ¾ vote in both the senate and the house as well ¾ of the states (38 states), which is just not achievable in the current political climate.

#DonaldTrump keeping open the idea of running and/or serving for a third term, doesn't know or conveniently ignores that it was his own party who amended the presidential term limit to the Constitution in 1947 to prevent Franklin D. Roosevelt to run for a fifth(!) term.
