on “breathe” (7:30 report). The music group (from Sydney) somehow using something horrible (the internet) connect with Ukrainians. They have heaps of fans. They travel to Kyiv for a music festival. Despite constant ballistic missiles bombardment they all hold a festival and they play to their fans. Raw courage, real light in the darkness stuff. Last night’s abc 7:30 report. Also the journalism is brilliant. #abctvAustralia https://www.abc.net.au/news/2026-07-29/australian-band-breathe-on-performing-in-ukraine/106973230

latest ABC Foreign Correspondent on China is very good. I watched it twice. #abctvAustralia #foreigncorrespondent

ABC TV “Treasure and Dirt” - just brilliant writing. I thought that there was only tired cliches in this genre, but this is genuinely original and engaging. At the level of Wallender, which I haven’t seen for a very long time. Five stars. #ABCTvAustralia

I am really enjoying watching #abctvAustralia Foreign Correspondent. Every week I learn something important.

I am quite enjoying "Patience" (ABC iview). It's different. No idea how authentic the portrayal of autism is, but at least it is there. #abctvAustralia

"Ground Up, a satire firmly anchored in real-world sport and politics, is created by Gary McCaffrie, a key writer on Shaun Micallef’s Mad As Hell. The six-episode series will be produced by McCaffrie and Robyn Butler and Wayne Hope, the powerhouse husband and wife team behind Upper Middle Bogan, The Librarians and Little Lunch, with Hope directing." - oh my goodness. This looks excellent. I still often think about The Librarians, genius work. #abctvAustralia

watched the Midnight Oil documentary on ABC. It's excellent. You watch them churn out lots and lots of pub rock. Then all of a sudden out comes "US forces" and even now the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. #ABCTvAustralia
