there is no universe where it can be justified to shoot at a car containing living human beings, including a baby, over a shoplifting beef
if you're the store, get the license number & file a complaint if you have to but do not involve armed gunmen
this is human decency 101
why do i even have to feel moved to express this in the 21st century or any century
this is not OK
if police only exist to protect capital, then they should not receive one penny of public funds, let their pay come out of capital's security budgets
i've had people ask me what would happen to me if the police did not exist, since no one EVER in all the decades of this long life has ever been arrested or even mildly inconvenienced over a crime of violence against me, i'd say what would happen to me is i'd pay less taxes for exactly the same zero amount of services i've always received
