Yeah, i get that. I didn't really have beef with the #wysiwyg editors back in the day, but the output could be horrible and break the page layout. Especially when copy/paste from Word..
They where also very bloated.

I recently had to implement #TinyMce and it wasn't so bad. Still bloated though.

I used to love an editor with a parrot on its website, and a Don't click here -button. Can't find it at the moment.

Thank you for your reply. I‘m aware of the links but I am / was hoping for good news at the State of the Word #SOTW. And Plugin-Security is a low-hanging fruit to produce good news.

That is why I wrote about it again.

Now our new https://wptoots.social mascot has gone through another iteration. Improvements after your comments:

- it is more a tooter than a trumpeter now (hair fixed)
- it is accompanied by a #Wapuu! I wanted it to be a Mastodon after all, but why not have a little friend?
- it is integrated into a banner with the correct dimensions
