Agreed: kids should not go #hungry.
But adding a new program to feed them seems wrong. We have various #social-#assistance #programs for families. Do those programs provide enough to #feed the #children?
If the answer is "no", then we should increase what those programs provide to fix them - not add a new, overlapping program.
If the answer is "yes", then ... why is the support not being spent on feeding the children? *That* should be fixed.

Gasoline #taxes pay for, among other things in general revenue, creation and upkeep of provincial #roadways.
Electric cars use roadways, and may indeed cause more wear and tear than an equivalent ICE vehicle (because of their greater mass due to the traction battery). But electric cars don't pay gasoline taxes.
So unless you want EV drivers - who, remember, are in general wealthier than ICE drivers - being #subsidized by ICE drivers, you have to charge EV users somehow. How?

@dmacphee Same but from UK. We love #opera live in the cinema. And I'm quite glad the filmed version meant we didn't have to stare at those flashing lights for a whole act! Aigul Akhmetshina was stunning, beautiful rich voice and great acting. Angel Blue was also terrific. The men, on the other hand were a bit underwhelming, we thought.

@dmacphee @deltatux Perhaps they still underestimated, but again, especially in BC and Quebec, the fast charging networks we encountered on #evcrosscanada last year in those places were, by far, the best in the country. And in BC this year it has only grown. Every other province is in far worse shape in both scale and variety of charger. I don't think it is a coincidence that those two provinces were led by their publicly owned electrical utilities.
