Dear #perl @Perl folks that use Dist::Zilla. I'm trying to release a new version of Validation::Class but I'm stuck with dzil release. All tests pass, files are modified but for some reason the modifications aren't committed to Git?
To clarify, my Git index is clean before running the release command.
I've got no clue on how to proceed here as I barely know how Dist::Zilla works.

• cpanm --with-feature is considered experimental https://metacpan.org/dist/App-cpanminus/view/lib/App/cpanminus/fatscript.pm#-with-feature,-without-feature,-with-all-features
• The #cpanfile feature directive is modeled after the #CPAN metadata spec’s optional_features map, whose documentation discourages its use because a reverse dependency has no way to specify which features its dependent distributions should enable. https://metacpan.org/pod/CPAN::Meta::Spec#optional_features
• The point of #Carmel seems to be to produce repeatable builds. Providing feature switches to cpanm sounds counter to that. -
So so weird! Using #dvgrab to capture footage from old DV video tapes and all seems to be going well. But using the dv2 format I get clips where audio is sped up with several clips. So I tried dv1, seemed fine, but #FinalCutPro doesn't take these files. Neither does the mov format. So I tried the raw format and that worked fine. But now there's one clip where audio is pitched down by more than 2 steps. So weird!

Grrr #WaveRace64! Restart Circuit doesn’t mean what it says. I was in round 7 of 8 of the Expert championship. Got some bad luck and thought you know what? I’ll restart the circuit… And got a nasty surprise. Sure, it’s restarting something. The entire championship! This is a bit of a “throw your controller through the room” experience.
No worries, didn’t do such a thing. It’s angering though.

Hmm yes I think I should let #FinalCutPro render on my 64GB #MacStudio instead. VR footage is just too heavy it seems. My 16GB M1 MBP isn’t meant for this haha.

Ugh I've had it with #SynologyDrive. It just doesn't sync stuff. On one computer I delete a file or folder, it's gone. I check my other computer, nothing changes. I check the server, files are still there. Both clients say they're all done syncing.
This gets really old when a KeePass database starts getting out of sync on two systems. Grrr... Any alternatives on Synology #NAS

New annoying thing with #DockerDesktop: after every reboot it logs out of my private registry so when I want to `docker compose up` my project it wants to rebuild everything because it doesn't have access to the registry...

Hmm that's surprising. Used #dvgrab to capture some footage from DV Tapes. There are several formats to choose from. One of them is QuickTime mov. You would've thought #Apple could handle that. But apparently the codec DV/DVCPRO is unsupported by both QuickTime and #FinalCutPro. #Compressor can't handle it either.
The raw format is being handled just fine.
This is not the first time I find Apple stuff to have zero support for some codecs. Yet #HandBrake and #ShutterEncoder do.

Ugh Flashcards can really be hit and miss when it comes to compatibility huh? Was playing some #StarFox #LylatWars on the #Nintendo64 and after I finished the level where you attack that train the game crashed. At the same time my PC doing a DV capture through FireWire also crashed!
I’ve played through the #3DS version many times so it’s OK. But still annoying.

It took a bit of figuring out but I managed to have this #WindowsXP VM access my parallel port on my #Linux host so I can use the official app for writing my #GameBoyAdvance flash card!
Now to figure out how to “activate” Windows XP. Any pointers?

I kinda feel like a proper hacker now! Modifying a very old C application to fix the timing and timeouts for uploading #GameBoyAdvance #ROMS to this ancient #Flash2Advande flashcard through an ancient parallel port! Specifically bought a PCI card for this haha. Would it have been easier to just buy a modern flashcard? Yes. Less fun though! I just want this stuff to work again :-).
I had long thought the card was broken because the USB Writer I bought never worked but DID do stuff to the card.
