Dendrospora sp. #AquaticHyphomycetes. The sample from hessia was full of large conidia. These are more alien than most sci-fi aliens.

Has anyone access to Mycologia Memoirs? I am looking for the species descriptions of #AquaticHyphomycetes: Matsush. Mycol. Mem. 7: 70 (1993) and Matsush. Mycol. Mem. 2: 19 (1981). Somehow it seems that nobody ever bought these or if so threw them out long ago. #Mycobookclub.

My current prototype for a self contained foam sampling field kit for #AquaticHyphomycetes: A small 3d printed sieve that fits into a (urine) sample cup and a eppi tube of FAA fixing medium. I cant carry a kitchen strainer all the time - this can live in the bike pannier. Cannot wait to test it. ☺️

This is basically the same stream, one branch feeding a pond/mill and going through a forest afterwards and another diverted, open, faster flowing. Different composition of #AquaticHyphomycetes with only some overlap. 1/

Yesterday we went fishing for #AquaticHyphomycetes at the Mittellandkanal, an intensively managed waterway in Hannover. First test for the new collapsible pole. We got a good sample. The 3m pole was barely enough in this location. The sample is pretty restricted in the species content.

I think this may be my most obscure #FungiFriends #AquaticHyphomycetes post to date: I found this spore in sample from a branch of the Leine river in Hannover I took this Sunday. It reminded me of something.
