Now in a mix of self preservation and compassion, I have picked up the fluorescent tubes. One was smashed, and I didn’t want more being smashed on the ground or my car.

They have clear rules about what to do for this and most other things. Flat boxes go next to or on top of the bin. Tubes have hazardous waste rules and drop-off locations.

My kink is when the garbage/recycling people ignore dumb shit neighbors leave out. Yes, worker-boundary solidarity!
