There's a contestant on Jeopardy tonight who's sporting a Rollie Fingers mustache.
Those mustaches definitely say something! Even if I temporarily forget the dude's kind disposition, his fun stache makes me think this dude is alright.

It frustrates me when people say 'what are the democrats going to do about this'?
The Democrats played a huge hand in where we are right now, and i don't understand how that's not transparent to everyone who paid even a little attention in 2016 and 2020.
Two consecutive primaries were literally rigged against the most popular politician in the country, running on their own party ticket, to present two candidates that most people didn't want to vote for- one of them having even having dementia.
Statements like 'the republicans are ruining our democracy', are only utterable if you haven't been able to see that the DNC also clearly doesn't care about democracy.

Ever spent 30 years trying to find an old video? I have searched long and far for an old Teton Gravity Research video that had this Beck track in one of the segments. Right after this rider hit a massive feature the serene part of this track kicked in. This is a perfect example of why to never publish your date of birth online.
A malicious person/org that has both your DOB and social security number can do some serious damage.
Hopefully their data pull didn't include my DOB or anyone else's, but it's on plenty of mortgage docs so I assume so.
Be safe out there, y'all. Always fake that DOB.

I'm building out a new RSS reader on Flym, and going through The Old Reader and all the blogs I used to follow regularly in the late 90's and early aughts. Shooting off the hip, I'd say that 5% are still posting regularly.
I miss the blog era and would love to see it come back.

Lining up a new project for this year's Wooly Fair in Providence, which will likely be a massive (8' tall?) pixelated lamb where each pixel is a discrete LED panel (3"x3" or so), perhaps touch-sensitive for color changing. This should be a fun one!

CW: DIW audio, Raspberry Pi, hard drives
I'm planning to build a DIY Sonos of sorts---a NAS using a Raspberry Pi Zero W and a hard drive. I'd like to encase the unit. Please help me decide which type of drive should I get!
SSD: quiet, cool, shorter life span, 2.5" can probably be powered off of the Pi
HHD: warmer, proably needs exhaust fan if encased, not as quiet, longer life span, likely needs it's own power source
