   i’m one generation removed from migrant farm work so to me this point was always obvious

   hearing about fears of “the permanent underclass” piss me off because

   a) we already have a permanent underclass: they’re the people who pick our food and mine our minerals

   b) anyone earnestly expressing that fear should’ve already known how precarious their perch was long before the rise of LLMs
