  1. Totally nuts letting a poll decide, but why not?
So... what language should I study next year?

  3. I won my match! 🥳

With a comeback from a really bad position, I managed to end up justifying my suspicious space grabbing in the opening with a strong attack.

Here's the finale for you. White to play and win.

  4. The match is scheduled, I'll play with FlokiTheCat today at 19h UTC (1pm for me).

    I'll stream it as usual.
    Wish me luck.

  5. Yay!

Now I'm the only leader in the Chess960 League, 1 point ahead with 3 rounds to go.
    Let's enjoy the 1st place while I can 😅

This week I'll face FlokiTheCat, who won the league back in season 9 and has made it to the podium in 6 different seasons. Something tells me the audience will root for them. I'm but a newcomer to the League 😳

  6. Today pkr5025 and me won our final match in the Bughouse World Championship. That is, the match for the 3rd place 🏆

    It was very exciting.
Started 3-0, tilted into 3-4, then all very equal up to 5-5...
In the end, we won 10-5 💪

The prize was $200. Not bad 💰

  10. I offered my help to implement #bughouse on pychess.org

Answer from the dev in charge:
"you helped already disqualifying me from BWC so i have more time to code :)"

Love is in the air 💕 🙄

No, seriously. I think they'll let me help 😅

  12. We lost the #bughouse match 10.5 - 6.5

Apparently there's another match for the 3rd place, so we're not done yet 😬

  14. Oh, speaking of bughouse ("the match"), I'm fully committed to make pychess.org have bughouse. That project won't have any secret name, it's #opensource :-)

I'll set up the dev environment tomorrow again (it's been moons since I don't contribute to that project) and I'm really excited for this 💪

  16. After so many years, I'm still learning English every day, so I decided to start a notebook and put some work into it.

💡I'm collecting words that "surprise" me. Either because I didn't know them or I can only recall their meaning when in context.

The challenge of illustrating them is definitely educational. Today I'm struggling to do a drawing for "perfunctory" - I want the illustration to transmit that more than "distracted" or "shallow" for example. 🤔🤯
