when the following happens:
1. dude A founds band B with singer C. their music is pretty good, and gets better over time.
2. C leaves B, seemingly because her creativity is being stifled. Her solo work is more interesting and creative than her music with B.
3. B hires new singer D. Their music with D is ok, but not as good as it was with C.
4. D also leaves B, and her new solo stuff is better than her work with B.
