They say "don't read the comments" but I think the ratio of good vs bad comments in this thread makes it very, very worthwhile.
Also, the *reach* has been amazing. I've seen reposts from people I follow for very non-Python reasons (not mutuals!), who as far as I know have never posted or commented on Python before. ❤️
As I mentioned to @lorenipsum , it's great to not feel so alone in this.

One of the things I really miss after moving to #Linux from macos is the power that #Mailmate gave me. #Thunderbird does get close but lacks a bunch of things. #Betterbird has been working well for my needs. One feature I miss is the distortion mode from Mailmate (https://freron.com/screenshots/) as I tend to share my screen a bit. Does anyone know of any plugin/setting that would help? Tried looking for loremipsum, obfuscate, etc., but to no avail.

I haven't yet ported my Lorem Ipsum generator from AutoHotkey to Linux. Now I'm googling lorem ipsum and shocked, absolutely shocked, how bad these lorem ipsum examples are!
I've clicked at least five open each one of them fail. I just want to copy paste multiple paragraphs, not headers, not same pargraph repeated, not history of them.

A modest proposal:
Let's just replace "#AI" with #LoremIpsum generators.
Just have "Lorem ipsum…" inserted at the beginning of your texts; between all bullet points; and at the end.
By convention, we'll pretend that every "Lorem ipsum…" was a heartfelt token of your attention, intelligence, and diligence.
And I can simply have it stripped off of your email, to obtain your unaltered list of 5 bullet points.

Horrified to hear about folks using #LLMs to create "convincing placeholder content" on client sites, considering the difficulty people always seem to have identifying and replacing #LoremIpsum text even when it is literal gibberish in Latin.
What happens when placeholder gibberish is nearly indistinguishable from the site content, despite not being reviewed for any factual accuracy at all?
