@legallaurak @robotdeathsquad power just went out here in #CamasWA. Running #greenhouse (propane igniter and fan) and house pellet stove on generator. Rigged up internet and other small stuff on battery power (which can be recharged on solar power). Last Saturday power was out as well for ~13 hours. Still need to find a good solution for the 220v well pump.
There’s some nice small generators to be had for essentials. Make sure you get an “inverter” generator to cleanly power electronics.

@calecodes I think my dogs consider me the automatic feeder. If I walk into the kitchen there's a mad dog rush to follow me and stare at me with the same kind of sad dog eyes I think your pupper is using to convince her feeder to give her food.

I also recommend doing an #introductionpost (or to use the local jargon, a toot) using hashtags to describe your interests. Reblog (what Twitter calls retweet) other people’s toots. The space under my desk isn't quite as hidey-holey but it's still quiet, separate, and perhaps most importantly -- a good place to put your paws on your human's feet so she can't escape without you knowing about it. (I tried to get a pic but she isn't cooperating this morning...)
