Ten months ago, @dries told me ECA was at maybe 1% of what it could be.
Today I'm publishing the story of what happened next: Post 1 of a 9-part series on the Vienna → Chicago → Athens journey, the UX research that reshaped everything, and the six-week sprint that produced a new Workflow Modeler.

Five years ago, ECA was just an idea.
Next week at #DrupalDevDays Athens 2026, I walk through the 12 turning points that shaped where it is now - and what they taught me about building open source and working with the community.

The most powerful automation engine in any CMS is about to get a revolution.
After 16,000+ sites adopted ECA for no-code/low-code Drupal automation, we listened to every pain point - and rebuilt from the ground up.
Come to my session at #DrupalCon Chicago to witness what's next. Live. On stage.

This is just the beginning of a series of probably smaller posts, each of which identifying specific topics in Drupal, and elaborating what users are actually using ECA for in those areas. Examples are forms, commerce, authentication, notifications, rendering, and more.
Those topics will be the focus for our upcoming innovations for the ECA user interface. And if you want to follow along or even participate, please ping me directly or join the #eca-next-gen channel in Drupal Slack.

Thank you, @Anybody for publishing a new version of the #FriendlyCaptcha module for #Drupal containing the local endpoint: https://www.drupal.org/project/friendlycaptcha/releases/1.1.0
With that, it's a perfect way to protect any Drupal site from spam with any external dependencies, and fully respecting the visitor's privacy.
So glad I was able to contribute a bit to that process.
