@jfincher @bookstodon I love so many of the covers from these #books, the second chronicles in that edition are particular favorites. The Wounded Land is particularly striking. I seem to remember there being another great cover of The One Tree that I loved, but I can’t find it. Gotta finish the reread of these I started a few months back!

@yerald @bookstodon This series of covers for the First and Second Covenant Chronicles. I've been on a hunt for HC versions of the 1st trilogy, already found the second. #usedbookstores

I've got a book handling quandary.
I love used books, whether HC or PB -- they show signs of love and affection, and I buy them when I can.
However, I also have several first edition HC's which are inscribed by the authors, which I keep pristine -- I put them on a shelf, almost untouched, and read the ebook versions instead
How do others handle this? Do you handle and love your first editions, or do you preserve them and love the PB/EB versions?

For the first time in several years, I can finally say, with confidence from first-hand experience:
The mountain is out.
And it's glorious.

Während #Lanzarote eine schwarze Geröllwüste ist, ist #Graciosa eher eine grün-weiße Sandwüste.

@TerryHancock
#Pleroma implements the same API as #Mastodon, so all Mastodon-apps work for it, too.
On top of that it adds a bunch of features (e.g. reactions) and allows more customization.#Misskey seems even more feature-rich and developed by a bigger community, but the docs are barely translated from Japanese.
https://www.paritybit.ca/blog/mastodon-is-dead-long-live-misskey@bonfire seems the most promising as it is the only one with a plugin-system rather than a #monolithic architecture, but is still heavily under development.

As most #Fediverse applications are #monolithic, I am very hyped for @bonfire bringing a reformation, and just now say that Beta is soon ready - maybe I can ditch investigating #Mastodon, #Pleroma and #Misskey and immediately move to it after all :)
