In my opinion, American voters need to grow up and stop feeling sorry for themselves. Short of Alberta separatists, I've never seen an electorate so consumed by self-pity and a refusal to accept any responsiblity for what they brought on themselves. I guess it's kind of a bastard child of the American exceptionaism they were all taught in school.
I can't believe I'm writing something this rude and coarse, but honestly, where this article talks about "voter apathy" I think a better term would be "mastrubatory exhaustion".
It will take the USA a generation to recover from this, assuming a recovery even happens (a BIG if!)
